My name is Mike and I am excited to share my decades of teaching and fitness training experience with you. I’m a passionate ice dancer, swimmer, surfer, yoga and mat pilates practitioner.Through years of practice I have learned that a strong, stable and healthy core is the key to staying safe and having fun across a range of physical pursuits.
I am a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). I believe HEALTH is more than than the mere absence of disease or ill health. It is the presence of VITALITY. I train clients to achieve greater levels of HEALTH, and in the process I teach them to nourish themselves with the activities they already enJOY doing.
I can coach you to dance on ice skates; Lindy Hop in your living room, or stretch and breathe in the park. We can even take a stroll on roller blades if that’s your next mountain to climb.
But maybe what you really need is to slow down and take a rest, and think through a fitness plan that feels pleasant and sustainable, and which you can build on over the long term.
I will help you design a fitness plan that works for you, incorporating various modalities including flexibility, cardio, strength, resistance, and endurance training. The key ingredient, I believe, is JOY, and designing your fitness plan around what makes you happy, will ensure a sustainable, effective and satisfying journey towards maintaining your health.
